We got here Saturday evening to a blazing 97 degrees, just a tad warmer than our beautiful (okay, cold) 44 degree weather in Michigan. It was a bit of a shock. Michelle (my sister who will be staying with us for six months) told the boys the heat we were feeling was dragon breath because dragons live under the ground here. I think it really did feel like dragon breath. Yesterday cooled down into the 80s and had wind, so it was much more bearable. All of our stuff should arrive this weekend and until then we're staying in a nice hotel with a kitchen so that we don't have to eat out every night, because that may sound fun, but really, not so much. That's a lot of grease and whatever else, no matter how good of choices you make at the restaurant. The hotel also has a pool with a couple waterfalls and a hot tub, so we've been going at least once a day, and even though I sunscreen the boys like crazy, they are turning super brown. Mike hasn't had any real work to do yet because he doesn't have his work laptop yet so he is educating himself on missiles at work. Little different from exoskeleton research for school. I'm resting after all our work last week and basically letting Michelle do everything. She does it without any complaint! She even offers to do things for me. It is soooooo nice!!!

How long are you guys going to be there?
so, did you buy or renting? So crazy that it has been 6 years since we first met in Michigan?? I still remember our BYU/Woodchase party. You guys newlyweds and us expecting our first baby.
Congrats and good luck with the future. Keep us POSTED.
loves, jen
Good ol' Tucson!! Gotta love that heat!! We're enjoying the 70's her in Cali. Sure you don't want to come!?
Huh? Your sister is staying with you for six months?? You are resting? What is going on? Did I miss something?
Good luck with things in Tucson. Welcome to the real life after school. We sure miss our 3 week Christmas vacation.
Wow you have arrived! So glad Michelle is there to help you out. Hope you have a fantastic first winter in AZ.
I was wondering when you'd be heading out! Aren't you glad you arrived in AZ in October! Now you won't have to deal with intense heat for about 6 months! :)
I love that Michelle said the heat was dragon breath! It really does feel like that!
Enjoy settling in!
Yeah you made it. I sure wish my sis would live with me- lucky. Enjoy the heat- it's way better than frigid Michigan. I'm already planning our winter trip south to visit you guys. Good luck getting settled.
Wow! Congrats on the job, Mike.
Sounds like fun. I am always jealous of the amazing winters.
tucson, wow. nice and H.O.T. now give more details for those of us who don't keep in contact so well :)
Moving on!! Way to go guys. Sure miss you and hope you're loving life ;)
Yeah, you've arrived!! I hope your stuff came and that you are getting settled. Please call when you guys plan on coming up this way. I hope you loved the PERFECT Halloween weather (and didn't get warm outfits for the boys.) It's so much better than running from house to house because you are so cold from the snow falling! Can't wait to hear about everything...
You'll have to email me your new addy!!
I will have to come and see you guys!!! I am only little over an hour away. Give me a call and we will plan something. If you are coming to Phoenix I can get all of you into the zoo and the boys would have so much fun. My number is 602-472-3131.
